Description:
Users in suburban areas experience longer wait times than in urban areas, leading to a 30% decrease in ride booking in these regions.
Factors leading to problem statement:
- Inadequate no of drivers in the geography to serve the potential customers.
- High cancellation rates among drivers reduce user confidence in ride bookings.
- Larger geography than urban areas, making it harder and difficult for the drivers to make it on time on the pick up point.
Possible solutions:
- Limit the no of “cancel the ride” option available to the driver per week/month and Incentivize the drivers in order to increase the ride acceptance rate.
- Scheduling or pre-booking a ride one day in advance or at least three hours ahead ensures a 100% confirmation rate
-[If users do not receive a confirmed ride after using the pre-booking feature (three hours or more in advance), they will get their next ride for free.]
3.When average turnaround times exceed the set threshold during peak hours and there are fewer drivers near the pickup location (<1km), suggest carpooling to users instead of individual rides to enhance customer satisfaction.
4.Increase the no of drivers in these regions.
